Three words: sexy, sweet, and short. Anna Leigh Keaton sure knows how to pack a punch in her stories, from the very first page. This is a book you definitely don't want your teenager to pick up, so you'll have to read it on the sly, but it's short enough and small enough to hide easily! And, oh, what a read!

Gracie and Steve are neighbors, neither of whom is looking for a long-term relationship. Gracie is an English teacher and, after her father's heroic death years earlier, wants somebody stable-an accountant maybe-anybody who doesn't put his life on the line on a regular basis. Steve, on the other hand, is a firefighter down to the very marrow of his bones. So, while the sex is terrific, both are convinced that a short-term relationship is all they want.

Fate, however, has a way of getting in the way of the best laid plans (pun intended). Keaton's characters are realistic, the dialogue is sparkling, and the plot-though pretty standard-has enough sex in it to keep anyone up reading past his or her bedtime.
